Slice Mobility Guardian

2025 AI-RAN Alliance Innovation Award

LAUDE Innovation Hub has been named one of ten global winners of the 2025 AI-RAN Alliance Innovation Award.

With over 60 proposals submitted, the competition recognised groundbreaking advancements in applying AI to next-generation radio access networks.

Our awarded project, Slice Mobility Guardian: AI-Driven Slice-Aware Handover Control, delivers a major innovation in mobility management for 5G and 6G. The system leverages predictive AI models to forecast mobility demands and apply dynamic, slice-specific handover quotas in real time. This enables networks to prioritise and manage resources across different traffic types (eMBB, URLLC, and IoT) while maintaining service-level agreements even during large-scale mobility events.

This award confirms our ongoing commitment to scalable, intelligent, and adaptive network solutions. By integrating AI and automation into the core of RAN architecture, we are helping shape the future of mobile networks toward greater efficiency, flexibility, and resilience.

“This award validates our vision of intelligent, self-optimising networks that can dynamically adapt to user mobility and performance demands in real time.”

“We are honoured to receive this prestigious recognition from the AI-RAN Alliance,” said Milan Groshev, Senior Researcher and Team Lead at LAUDE. “This award validates our vision of intelligent, self-optimising networks that can dynamically adapt to user mobility and performance demands in real time. We look forward to continuing this work within the AI-RAN Alliance’s WG1 AI-for-RAN Working Group.”
