Task Automation in Industrial Environments

The Challenge

Our client requires to define a new paradigm to deploy microservices following the GitOps philosophy to allow developers to have control of the environments interacting only with the GitHub code repository.

| The Outcome

Task automation has drastically reduced the time required for integration and deployment at the customer and avoids human error in any of the operations.

How we did it

We offered a consulting service integrating a specialized DevOps profile to the client’s work team to perform the correct implementation of the tasks and perform a daily synchronization of results and expectations.

  • We guaranteed that client’s needs and the work performed were synchronized.
  • We deployed an infrastructure using Terraform, on AWS, consisting of a Jenkins orchestrator running on Fargate. This allowed for the dynamic creation of agents for each of the deployments that were made for each microservice.
  • The Jenkins automation server is in charge of checking the changes in the repository and starting the deployment of each branch in its corresponding Openshift environment.
  • The access control is done through the integration of Jenkins with Keycloak.
